i just started M3 and i have 3 peds ent clinic days (2 general and 1 otology) next week! the attending asked that i read up on some of the most common peds issues.

i've done some searching on line (will be checking uptodate today), but i'm wondering what should i focus on and if there are any good resources i can read over before next week?

Chronic otitis media vs. Recurrent acute otitis media (know the difference between the two and the basic pathophysiology of OM).

Indications for tympanostomy tubes, and understand what a tube is, what it looks like, and how it works.

Indications for tonsillectomy + adenoidectomy in kids.

Treatment algorithm for sinusitis in kids.

If you know all that stuff reasonably well, you'll be ahead of the game.
