Anyone else on here coming from an EM background? Just wondering if I'm the only one!
Also - I'm hilariously geographically limited, as my wife's job is going to force us to be in DC for the next few years... Still nothing from INOVA or Children's National for anyone?
It happened for me with one program, but I think it was an issue on that program’s end. They sent an email apologizing and then I was able to access the invite section and schedule the interview.has anyone else been having issues with eras? as in not having immediate access to the invitation section for the program after the interview has been sent?
There are some programs that still have open spots, which makes me think that they're continually sending out interviews. Others are filled on the first day that they send out interviews, so I think it's highly variable between programs. I don't think it would be unreasonable to send an email of interest to programs who have already sent out their first round.Just polling the crowd - is the general sense that if we dont get an invite first round, given that the interviews are digital - should we likely not expect to get an interview later? As in, if people got an interview somewhere already, and we haven't, should we largely discount the possibility of getting one from that institution?
Asking just because of the three programs I applied to (again, I'm hilariously geographically limited), two have already sent interviews to some folks, while I've gotten radio silence.
This was my exact question a few days ago. However, Within a few days, one of the programs sent me an invite after they had already sent the initial batch days prior. Very nerve wracking so i understand. I do think it varies thoughJust polling the crowd - is the general sense that if we dont get an invite first round, given that the interviews are digital - should we likely not expect to get an interview later? Makes sense - especially given that I am a very atypical PEM applicant (I trained in EM and have been working as an EM attending in the community for the last two years). Would reaching out to the fellowship director would be reasonable, or is there someone better to reach out to?There are some programs that still have open spots, which makes me think that they're continually sending out interviews. Not yet. I was also wondering if I was the only one. Some programs have taken 1+ weeks to give me a definite date, so I was going to wait at least 1 week before reaching out.anyone hear back about their interview date from northwestern yet?
