"Pending" at Drexel?

I called Drexel today to check my status (I've been complete since November). She said my status is "pending." I asked what that means, and when will I be "unpended." She said that a faculty member from the adcom had reviewed my application and applied the pending status to it, and they are interviewing until May.

Has anyone been pended before and then offered an interview, or is this just a way of putting of my rejection for a little bit?

I'm just guessing, but it sounds like a pre-interview hold maybe. Since they interview so late, and have a class of like 200, I wouldn't get too worried. If it makes you feel any better, I've been complete since 11-1, and haven't heard a thing...

They haven't even reviewed my application yet! The lady I spoke with was very nice. "We're still reviewing them! It's okay!" Cute.

i am also "pending" at drexel. found out when i called. then i asked them if they had sent out an email or mail designating me as "pending" and she said "no, we don't send out anything for pending status"

does this make any sense to anyone?

In my experience everybody at Drexel is really nice. That's one of the reasons it will probably be one of my top choices even though it doesn't have a stellar reputation!

of course the main reason I wouldn't want to go there is that it's one of the most expensive schools in the country 😱
