Anyone get secondary apps from Penn State? What do their secondaries entail? Just wondering. Also, in general, does most everyone get secondaries--and then they screen down number for interviews or does few people get secondaries of which most are interviewed--(if that makes any sense)?

did you get one already? I still haven't. really want to start working on it. :scared:

no--i havent gotten anything yet. i applied for the early decision program. but my mcat is less than exciting. soooo. i was just wondering if anyone else got stuff from them yet.

If i remember correctly, Penn state has a fill-in the blank secondary. You're asked to write a paragraph on why you wanna go there and i believe the secondary is sent to everyone

yeah, penn state sends secondaries to everyone. i remember from last year that you do that fill in the blank about personal/background info.... i dont remember all of it, but there was an option for SAT scores (optional), and there is one about which area you would be interesting in going into (ER, Peds, Peds Subspecialty, Primary Care, Internal, OB/GYN, etc, etc...). be careful what u check off, cuz when interviews come around, u might have to back it up. it was mentioned in my interview. plus there were two spaces for essays. the one about why you wanna go there had to be 50 words or less i think. it was super short. literally 2 lines or something. writing something significant in a short space like that may be kinda hard to do sometimes. plus, if youre not enrolled in school this year, it asks what you will be doing throughout the year. this essay had no character/word limit. anyway, good luck guys.
