Hi everyone
Do you think that people who are applying 2 consecutive years to the same school, have more chances than new first time applicant?
I applied this year to BU And NYCUD ,but didnot hear from them,so Iam planning to apply next cycle in April,do you think schools usually take that in their consideration?
Any experinces with that?
thanks

Hi lena
u can say dat if u re-apply to a school, u stand a better chance but be aware coz as a re-applicant u have to show dem u r really dedicated. n dat doesnt only show wid d fact dat u r re-applying.. u have to make strong changes n improvements in ur application... try to add in work ex, cde courses, volunteer work, better scores or anything n everything u think mite look good on ur resume... also, alter ur sop.... make considerable n conspicuous changes in dat...

I agree with newagedentist on that; I've re-applied more than one time; I had a bad GPA (less than 3), so basically I tried improving that by doing a MBA healthcare program (maintained a GPA of 3.9 and above always) and it worked for me. Last year NYU called me for an interview & when asked why they didn't call me for two consecutive years even after having good scores in both Toefl & NBDE 1, they told me it was my GPA. I took NBDE 2 also so that it improves my chances & I don't know what worked for me, but I got into a dental school already & I was also offered an interview from NYU again this year. Bottom line- improve your application as newagedentist told you.
Good luck.
