For those of you who have high stats but haven't received interviews yet, or have only had 1 or 2 interviews, feel free to share here.

What do you think are the weak points in your application? This is much more than a numbers game. Even though numbers can't hurt, perhaps there is something you can point to that might result in no/few interview invites so far. Where have you applied? When were your application materials submitted?

Applied late?
Lacking in dental-related EC's?
Lacking in overall EC's?
Light course load?
Unevenly distributed DAT scores?
Bad personal statement/LOR's?
Etc.

How many interviews do people usually get? I've gotten five so far, but I applied to thirteen so that's not even half. :/

Should I still expect to hear from them?

Will schools at least tell you if you're completely rejected either before or after an interview?

Dude... getting interviews as around half is AWESOME! Your doing very well

Seems like most threads I read where people have high stats but few/no interviews is usually due to a late application. Thats what it seems like at least lol

I agree with above.

Applying late will do it. Also, sometimes if you havent had the right sort of ECs then that can also hurt you significantly.

finally, another big thing is that sometimes people with high stats are so confident they dont apply to enough schools, and they especially dont apply to safety schools.

Ive applied to 25 schools and i only have 5 interviews so far. I even applied early.
