Percent of the Day Spent Looking at Slides?

...Also, would surg path involve more time looking at slides? It may sound outlandish, but I sure wouldn't mind looking at slides all day, dictating findings (and doing consultant/admin work in addition).

Highly variable in academics. For some staff I'd say they spend 90% of their time at the scope, and others spend 10%. I expect private practice pathologists to be closer to the 90% end of the range.

It varies daily. I spend a lot of time looking at slides, but also spend a lot of time staring at a computer (lab stuff, flow, looking things up, etc).
