hope everyone here makes it good luck to all.

where did you hear it was happening often? I have heard attrition is quite low.

How many is "quite a few"? I've heard that the usual drop-out rate is ~5% at most institutions, and most issues were not necessarily academically related. Med schools really try to keep their students in.

From what I have heard DO schools don't loose any more/less than MD schools. Should be fairly equal between the two.

where did you hear its only 5%

agreed in med school they have a low percentage but just a few people i mean little amount, and the question is why does it happen.

true i agree😀

people drop out of everything, its best to focus on getting through.

You have to keep in mind that "stuff" happens to different people every single day of the year. Friends/family members die, people develop diseases/psychological problems, and in general "life happens".

In other words, the majority of dropouts are typically not a direct result of a person being unable to "hack it". There definitely exists the small minority of individuals that simply drop out because medical is not what they thought it would be, but for the others it is often times something extraneous.
