For those of you who used the Ace the Dat product and have taken the actual DAT, how close were the perceptual ability sections to each other. I have found that the PAT on Ace the Dat is much harder than Kaplan's. Does the actual DAT have hole punching questions where they could punch "half-holes"? And really weird orthographic projections? Thanks for the input. 👍

I haven't used Ace the DAT, but have used TopScore. The real DAT PAT section is pretty darn difficult, much moreso than TopScore. Practice as much as possible to get the feel for it. Once you get the hang of how the keyhole, paper folding, and projection sections work, you can do any difficulty problem. The angle guessing, in my opinion was way more difficult than TopScore.
As for your 2nd question, I've NEVER seen a 1/2 hole answer on the DAT (either time I took it), so I'd feel confident saying it's not there...

I used TopScore and actually found real DAT a lot more difficult, especially the angle ranking, which you don't expect to be difficult 😱 . As far as "half-holes", I didn't see anything like this and am sure you won't either. Keep practicing on your timing as time is your enemy. Put your hands on as many computer simulations as you can.

i thought the ace the dat was pretty accurate. i don't remember if there were half holes in the actual dat's, though

Was the angle ranking more difficult than Kaplan's? I find kaplan's angle ranking to be ridiculously easy, and ace the dat's was much harder. Is the actual Dat a fine balance between the two or more similar to ace the dat's?
