Just some questions for any current DO students, residents, or attending physicians:

What did it feel like to perform OMT techniques on a cadaver for the first time? Do the cadavers "pop" and "crack" like the bodies of the living? Do they still have their Chapman's points intact?

Believe it or not, these are the sorts of questions that keep a lot of us pre-meds up at night. I'm trying to learn as much as I can before I begin shadowing! Looking forward to your responses.

They definitely crack and pop, but if they say ouch...run

I'm really skeptical any school does this, and if they do it would be a school I would avoid. I don't even know how you could do muscle energy on a cadaver or why you'd want to do hvla. Guessing this post is a troll..

Lol in hindsight I would've rather done OMT on the cadavers than anatomy dissection.
