permanent filling vs temporary filling

one is temporary, the other is definitive (permanent).... Also, temporary fillings in the case of a Root canal filling is more likely to "leak" and therefore should be removed and replaced with a final filling or crown etc.. there are different reasons for using temporary fillings (ease of removal, help with remineralization, etc. ) They are however, weaker, and more prone to microleakage.
