For those of u who got accepted at NYU, how did u pay the $5000.
one money order can be made only for $500, which wud mean 10 money orders.
and in case of personal check, i dont have $5000 in my account , can i tell my sister to gimme a check from her account and pay.is that allowed.

You can get a banker's check/certified check from any old bank for 5K.

Go to USPS. They are the cheapest in making money orders. Their limit is $1000 per money order. So u ll have to make only 5.

If NYU accepts personal checks, then ur sister can pay for u. You will have to put ur name on the check somewhere, just to let them know that its for u.

In my case, my husband wrote a check for me. BU accepted it that way.
