Is it ok for the personal statement to be more than one page. Mine is 1.5 pages (courier 10pt) and I do not want to remove anything as it is all pertinent. Thanks.

I wouldn't recommend it - PDs have LOTS of personal statements to read - you can use your interview time to supplement information in the personal statement. Plus, the longer your personal statement, CV, etc, the more diluted they become... Take out all but the essential stuff.

Any recommendations on IM prelim/TY personal statement. Should I modify my PM&R, write another one, or submit PM&R?

I have heard it is alright to submit the same PS, but change the last paragraph to include why you think that a transitional year is helpful, how it will make you a better resident, etc....

that's what I did

Thanks for the advice, that's what I'll do. I was kind of leaning that way anyway.
