I was wondering if anyone knew of any websites that have good sample personal statements. Also, how formal should they read? Should we keep it personal and low key or should it be very formal almost like a resume. Any other tips would be apprecitated 🙂

I didn't use any particular websites. I kept mine pretty informal. I stated why I wanted to be a dentist and certain things I was involved in as an undergrad that solidified my interest. Then, got my advisor to proofread it. Good luck...
Doesn't Kaplan or the Barrons DAT prep book give you some sample personal statements. If not, then it's the same companies but the MCAT books. Mine was personal and answered the question of why I want to be a dentist.
As an aside, I'll get you going.
I woke up in a water taxi. The only thing I was wearing was duct tape underwear. My mouth tasted like motor oil and my body was covered with tatoos written in several languages I couldn't read. I sat up and felt the humidity on my gums, the boat skipping down the river, and the mid-day heat hit me on the face. The boat driver smiled at me and pulled over to a convenient dock, kicked me out of the boat, tossed a few teeth on the dock, and sped off. My teeth!? What do I do now? In a split second my future was clear, antibiotics. I needed access to antibiotics, and possibly more.

The less formal it is the more original it will be. Try to stick out.
