In my opinion, three things should be made clear in the PS: 1) Clear demonstration of your commitment and interest in ophthalmology. 2) The essay should convey the personal and professional qualities that make you unique in comparison to other applicants. 3) Perfect grammar and spelling. (I've seen applications tossed for incorrect spelling of "ophthalmology" and other words.) Good luck! Andy
