Personal statment advice??????? please help

I'm about to start the dreaded application process soon and I was wondering if anyone had any advice for writing a personal stamement. If you could, please share what you thought made your personal statements good enough to get interviews or acceptances. Actually any advice for applying in general "besides apply early" would be helpful.

I have a GPA> 3.0, A grad GPA of< 3.0, just barely but it's only 1 semester, and I just took the MCAT last Sat.so I don't know about that yet. Should I try to explain my undergrad GPA in my statement??????

I don't know what to tell you about your grades, but for the essay, check out "Application Workshop 101" on the SDN main page, or EssayEdge.com---they have some very good info and lots of sample personal statements.

You should see a premed advisor now about your grades. You may also try posting to Gower on <a href="http://www.medicold.com." target="_blank">www.medicalgold.com.</a> He is a premed advisor and has useful advice.
