I've had people tell me before I started med school and throughout med school tell me that they can see me becoming an ob/gyn even though I haven't expressed any interest per say in the field to others...I'm curious what type of people go into the field... is there a certain personality or in other words basically how should I interpret these comments?

Go through medical school, enjoy your rotations and at the end go with what made you happiest in the 4 years... Bottomline, 20 years down the line, you want to wake up in the morning happy to go to work because you are doing what you like rather than what people saw your personality fitting.

As for specific personalities, there is a wide spectrum in every specialty. I've seen my share of happy/angry, calm/spastic, intelligent/idiotic people (to name a few) in every specialty I've come across.

Best of luck with school!
