I wish that residencies would have current information on their websites, including interview dates. I especially enjoy seeing application deadlines listed as some date in 2009. [/rant]

A related question - if the PD/ PC listed on the website (and contact info) differ from ERAS, which one should be correct? Is ERAS updated yearly?

The problem is that the program is responsible for updating both it's own website AND ERAS. So it's hard to tell which one is up to date.

In some institutions, the website can only be updated if you: submit a two page form detailing the changes that need to be made, and the business justification behind the changes, as well as the projected audience, and business impact if changes are not made. Then, if you want these changes to occur in the next 6 months, you have to have three senior people sign off. Then the "job" is given to two overworked and underpaid IT people, and it goes on the bottom of their two foot high pile.

If you think I am kidding, I will be happy to PM you the form I submit in January, and keep my fingers crossed that the changes happen before interview season starts.

However, ACGME website we can update ourselves, and we do. So it should be accurate.
