PGY-1 Night Float vs. Overnight Call??

Hello Interns! I'm trying to decide on programs to apply to and was wondering about your different experiences in PGY-1 doing either night float or a program with overnight call.

I am trying to understand the differences in terms of working life, sleep, days off, hours worked per week, when you do nights, qwhat call, etc. to decide if I want to seek out night float programs specifically, or , well, not.

It'd be a huge help - my home hospital doesn't use much night float, so I'm not familiar with how it affects residents positively or negatively. Thanks for your help😍
