Pardon my ignorance.....How can I find out open spots for PGY 2 in internal medicine?

There is no central source for PGY-2 positions. There is www.findaresident.com and www.residentswap.org are both sites that help with this, but many positions go unadvertised.

Contacting programs ddirectly that you are interested in is really the best way.
