A large hospital in a nearby city is looking for a clinical pharmacist with these qualifications. Hello, aren't they kind of, like, mutually exclusive?

😕

Probably someone who completed a PGY2 and has 5 years post-residency of experience, I would think.

Lol. My faculty mentor did a PGY-1 and PGY-2 after school and she graduated in either '82 or '83.

I have a PGY2, but do not have 5 yrs experience.

Mutually exclusive = two events that cannot occur simultaneously (e.g., heads and tails on a coin toss). I think what you might be referring to is the fact that some facilities equate PGY-2 training with up to 5 years of work experience. There are many jobs that require both residency training and work experience, especially in competitive markets and for administrative positions.

No, what I meant is that it's highly unlikely that they're going to be finding anyone with a PGY-2 who's been out of school for more than 5 years or 7 years or whatever.
