PGY1 ERAS match again

If I do my PGY1 from this coming July, can I go to ERAS match again in this coming fall to match another (next year's) PGY1 position (i.e. repeat PGY1) as a way to tranfer program?

This sounds crazy. But if it were allowed, it would provide more opportunities (over 500 openings) for these who want to transfer to another program. transfer as PGY2 is hard since there are not many PGY2 openings.

It's a theoretical possibility. You'd have to be prepared to answer the question "Why?". Time to call some PDs!

again theoretically possible. However the "Why" question will be asked with intensity, ESPECIALLY if you mean to PGYI pathology and then PGYI Pathology again...


Actually the more I think about this the more it seems so unlikely as to be viewed with extreme skepticism
