I'm starting pharmacology this semester and was wondering if anyone has any good mnemonics or knows of websites with some good ones? I need all the help I can get trying to remember this stuff!

I think you mean mnemonics. Unless your pharmacology has pneumonia or there is a branch of pharmacology specifically dedicated to the lungs. Which there very well might be; pharm will be next year's nightmare for me. But the memory aids are "mnemonics."

Sorry, I don't normally correct people on here, but just walked out of another killer anatomy exam, and it's nice to feel I actually know SOMEthing about something, even if it is just a stupid word.

I think we need a mnemonic to remember how to spell mnemonic. 🙂

😀 I thought it was a question about inhalation anesthetics or Tx for pneumonia.

I remember the first time I mis-spelled something- WAIT! I do it all the time. And I'll even do it again in the future.... GASP!*!*!*!*

Geez... guess there will always be someone on here lurking to not add anything constructive to the conversation...

Don't worry about mis-typing....but if you find any let me know. Pharm is killing me too. Nice for someone who's not even in Pharm to bash you. 😍

You gotta be kidding me. First of all, it wasn't even directed to you. Second, if you are thin-skinned enough to consider that a "bash" how do you think you will make it through, say, your clinical year, when people 100x smarter than you are tearing you down everyday?

Read my "bash." I apologetically pointed out the error - which was clearly not a spelling or typing error, it was simply using the wrong word - while going out of my way to take a self-deprecating poke at myself just to keep things light. You're not going to find a gentler correction on the internet.

Finally, I'd say I did add something constructive to the conversation. I corrected the OP's improper usage of the word, HERE, on an anonymous internet forum where none of us should really get our panties in a bunch about anything. The thread title was misleading and confusing due to the error. Personally, I'd much rather be corrected here than by some prof, clinician, or future boss in real life. Just like politely telling someone he has a big green booger hanging out of his nose before walking into a job interview, I did the OP a favor. We all better get used to being corrected a LOT as we become veterinarians, so chill out.

I taught high school for 9 years, trust me... this is nothing compared to that kind of stress. If you think I was being thin-skinned, you way overestimated yourself. Please.

I was just sticking up for someone on here with a legitimate question, and no one chimes in with words of encouragement- just bashes his/her spelling. Never ceases to amaze me; I guess it shouldn't anymore.

Cornish- good luck with Pharm. We had our first test today. Ugh!
