Pharm is my weakest subject. Whats a good review book for the step. I have the kaplan pharm book. Anyone have any experience with this book? Also, anyone use Board simulated Series? I heard the questions are not representative of the current USMLE format, but they truly hit the core of what you need to know to do well. Thanks

Pharm was one of my weakest subjects going in. I turned into a strength by making flash cards of FA and spending a few days going through them. By the time I was done, Pharm was my best subject, perhaps because I was too lazy to make flash cards for the rest.

Hah, I was just about to post a message inquiring about the Board Simulator Series (BSS) books because I'm planning on picking it up but had some doubts that I myself would like to know. *Edit : moving BSS to another topic, this will stick with your pharm question.*

Onto your first question though - I'm sure others will give some better advice for pharm - I heard you can't go wrong with learning pharm from Kaplan - many have used this in conjunction with first aid.

First Aid is what most use, but I am assuming that most are sticking with FA because their pharm was relatively fresh from school and there's not much "trickery" involved in pharma questions - provided you know the mode of action/side effects / contraindications, doing usmleworld/qbank questions - you should be straight.... there's also video lectures by kaplan too - if you're really in the deep. To add, Katzung and Lippincott's pharm but they're pretty big - just like the kaplan pharm....

For some making flash cards help. You can run through those whenever you have some idle time.
