Hey guys, is it worth pursuing a combined degree of Pharm D and Law? The combined degree takes 8 years to complete. What do u think are the benefits of such a degree?

IMO, There really isn't much of a benefit unless you plan on being a pharmD for a certain amount of time then switching your career to become a lawyer.
Just gets alot of education out of the way earlier on in life.

Also this degree will make you human...
( get it? Lawyers are thought to be not human, while pharmD's are thought to be very human and loving etc.. ...
Lawyer + PharmD = almost not human + very human = normal human)

....lame joke eh

PharmD/JD is getting more popular now a days. There are many things you can do with it if you can provide the time commitment

Beneficial: you could be patent lawyer or even defend pharmaceutical companies.

Education is not a race; if you want to do it, go for it it doesn't matter how long its takes.

Patent law is one of the most lucrative sections of law, as well as being very competitive. Having a Pharm.D. with the law degree makes you more attractive for those positions. You can make much more money with both degrees and entering patent law rather than just doing pharmacy. I have a few friends who have Ph.D.'s who are going to law school to enter this field.
