Current Pharmacy students,

Given the number of WAMC threads that are on SDN this time of year which are solely focused on stats necessary to get into the school instead of thinking about how my stats will prepare me for the material that I'll see in pharmacy school ... I have a few questions for you.

How you would compare the content of your classes (with respect to homework expectations, reading requirements, amount of material on exams) in pharmacy school versus undergrad?

If you were an average student in undergrad (Average as in 3.0 since a 2.0 student wouldn't get into Pharm school typically), was the material a major step up for you? Did you feel that you were adequately prepared?

If you only completed the bare minimum pre-reqs, did you feel adequately prepared for pharmacy school?

Any feedback/commentary would be truly appreciated!

Thanks!

Interesting questions. You might consider numbering your questions, it would make them easier to answer.

Anyway, here is my answer.

No comparison at all. COP much, much harder. More homework, more time spent studying, more tests, more everything. The expectation is much, much higher.

Can't say. I had stellar undergrad stats, and it was still a major adjustment for me.

I completed the bare minimum and that is a hard question to answer. I do feel like I was prepared in terms of having the necessary knowledge, but I was not prepared in terms of study habits. I was used ot sailing through with minimal effort on my part - that ended in pharm school.
