What stories did you have during volunteering that moved you, or confirmed that pharmacy was for you or just interesting?! Please discuss.

I gave a guy with bullet wounds in his back/both arms pain medication prescribed by his doctor.

Never had a casual conversion with a gun shot victim before -- small entry wounds, big exit wounds. He was proud of them... 😀

i wasn't allowed to be around the medicine by myself so all i did was put labels on things and tear paper. it was pretty bad.

LOTS of people trying to refill their pain medication wayyyy too soon.

Lots of organizing shelves

Lots of answering phone calls

Lots of really nice people

Lots of really not so nice people

I think half of the words I utter in the pharmacy are...

"Thank you for calling rite aid, this is _____, how can I help you"

"umm, can I put you on hold please, thanks.."

"Hi howr you doing today? Are you here to pick up a prescription?"

"Someone will be right with you"

The strange thing is I LOVE my internship 😍

Whats the protocal/procedure for applying the medication? How did you get asked for that, that doesn't seem normal? What did the guy have to say? thanks
