BRENNERS flash cards are not helping much to retain phram info.
Feels like I am trying to remember random info.
Is FA good enough to make decent score on pharm part of FA?

What about reading LPP PHARM?
any good book that can supplement or help understand and retain FA pharm?

With one month left, I plan on doing TAUS 2-week schedule twice.
First time-- W/O Qs
Second time-- W/Qs as in taus plan.

Thank You

With one month left, pattern recognition is probably a better idea. I wouldn't try too hard to understand each drug's mechanism. I'd instead focus on the "monosynaptic reflex" -- see disease, know side effect of treatment of choice. That kind of thing.

Stick to first aid, if there is anything you don't understand look it up in LPP. Mechanism and site of action are important for pharm questions.

IMG is right - the mechanisms are important. I was trying to emphasize that understanding the material is not high-yield or as fast as memorizing it. Sorry!

I agree. Focus on the MOA and side effects. They'll serve you well. Do practice questions to make sure you understand how it's typically presented and what is important. Nausea and vomiting is not specific enough for any drug. Don't remember crap like that. Remember that drugs like Bile Sequestrants and Fibrates --> Gall Stones and Fibrates + Statins --> Myositis

Vicini---Thanks for posting even after you took the test.

I hope you remain an sdn junkie for at least these 2 more months till my test lol

I'm a big fan of pharm recall, it did a really good job getting e ready for my Pharm shelf. It's the only resource I'm using to supplement FA other than Goljan. LPP takes WAY too long and I'm not a huge an of the FA pharm format.
