Pharmacist Pay - saw this on Craigslist

Saw this ad on Craigslist for a Pharmacist Pharmacist, posted by a Independent Community Pharmacy

I always thought independents pay less but I guess not. $68 - $70/hour for a Pharmacist in San Diego? I think I need to renegotiate my salary

I do expect Pharmacist Salaries to bump up around $60+ by the end of the year according to what I've been told by the various places I've interviewed at but I guess some areas are already bumping up pay

Yea but that's in San Diego where rent is expensive. It's probably compensating for cost of living.

Kaiser pays $68/hr in OC...or so my floating pharmacist told me last night.

$68-70/hr in SD? makes sense...median house price is somewhere in the $800's if you live in a decent neighborhood.

Read the bottom of the posting:

Compensation: $59-$65 per hour plus medical insurance and retirement plan

$68-70 per hour is probably what your time is worth, including benefits.

Always read the fine print!

I was an intern at an independent during my first year and they paid their pharmacist $65/hr. It was a great job, 9-5:30 with every 3rd weekend and only 150 scripts or so daily (mostly refills).
