I'll beat his ass.

Love, is a burning thing.

And it makes, a fiery ring.

That's Johnny Cash. He's talking about love.

Just kidding, it's syphilis.

Zpack, I'm sure caverject can back you up on this one. Not literally though, LOLZ!!!!

I want to see how many threads, with the same name, that we can having going at the same time. 😉 Why is there more than one thread with the exact same name? There's a look-up thingy that pops up before someone starts a thread, right?

The part-time pharmacist issue is pretty big. I think 70% of our pharmacy class is female, maybe more.

After hanging out with my nephew, a nine month old cutie with blonde hair and blue eyes, I'm still not sold on the whole child rearing experience. Ladies in the grocery store would even stare at him with a 'let me pinch your cheeks' expression. He's a really good baby, too. You would think that he could convince me that giving birth and staying home for five years would be ideal.

Nah. I just felt like my actions were futile. It was as if all of the time that I had spent with him was momentary. He probably won't even know or remember who I am until he's like five.

I would rather spend five years of my youth saving up for an early retirement or "growing" as a person.

Anyway... back to the pharmacist shortage. How many threads do we need again?

Do it and die! 😉

When does school start for you? You're a P1 this year, right?
Sadly, no. Money issues. I can't get any loans (I'm not a US citizen), not even private ones (no cosigner, long story). I deferred for a year, however, and am seriously looking for a way to pay for school. So, if you know any rich people...

You could find a sugar momma. I like to pick on my boss and tell him that he always has that as an option.

They're clamping down on student loans, i.e. the qualifications are becoming more stringent.

I would suggest that you start building credit ASAP. Depending on your credit score, you may be able to get a loan even though you aren't a citizen.

I'm sorry that you had to defer. Perhaps you can save up enough money to start next year or maybe you can go to school part-time???

Is it really possible to go to school part time? Such an option never occurred to me.

I don't see why not? All of your courses will require prerequisites throughout pharmacy school, but the school will offer the same courses every year. Therefore, after you've taken... lets say... Medicinal Chemistry 1, then you should be able to take Medicinal Chemistry 2 as soon as they offer it again.

They can't force you to go full-time, I believe.

Call the admissions office and let them know that you can't get student loans right now and that you would like to go part-time if it's possible. See what they say. 🙂

I hope that all goes well. Good luck! :luck:

Let us know how it goes. 🙂

I am currently a tech working Full Phase of power, and yes its convenient, with minor kinks but be WARNED....outsourcing will lead to job loss...my manger has been told by the company that Walg will be firing 20-30% of it techs and 20% of its pharmacists(in Florida where Power is in use)....the pharmacists in my job are really alarmed and scared, they are receiving buyouts for early retirement, will this outsourcing and Power lead to the future of pharmacists being not as bright as we thought??
