Another article to show the admins sitting in their offices....for those of you who are not working in real life yet this is a huge thing that I wasnt taught in school. Clinical pharmacists have to justify their jobs. They just dont get to magically round on patients all day for $100,000+ dollars a year. The admins want to know why they need them and want hard dollars in terms of return on investment. They dont care if you save a few ADRs. Something to think about if you are thinking of "clinical pharmacy." With that being said, some physicians realize what pharmacists can do and hire them through schools of medicine.
