For those of you who are interested in acquiring a bachelor's prior to matriculation into a Pharm.D. program and are interested in pharmacogenomics, Shenandoah University and George Washington University are collaborating on a pharmacogenomics undergraduate program that will begin this coming fall and are accepting applications now.

http://www.gwvirginia.gwu.edu/news/GWNewsRelease_pharmacogenomics.htm

With the biotech industry growing rapidly, students who stop at the BS level in this program will be recruited for jobs in laboratories and other positions in the pharmaceutical industry. The program also creates a dynamic approach to helping students who want to earn both a B.S. in HS and a Pharm.D., giving them the opportunity to complete both degree requirements in seven instead of eight years.

gosh.. hard to imagine an undergrad degree in pharmacoeconomics without pharmacy education..

MS in pharmacoeconomics does make sense...

I am very mistake prone... that when I start to process some orders at work, my staff usually sends me back to my office....

They suck.. :meanie:

Does anyone know if there is a graduate program of some kind in the same field? I'm very interested in that subject but wouldn't want to apply for another Bachelor's Degree.

Thanks!

UCSF has a Phamacogenomics graduate program. Not sure of any on the east coast though.

Does anyone know if you did get accepted to this program, what are the chances of getting accepted into Shenandoah's Pharmacy program right after? I wonder if your chances are better given the fact that you would have the first year done already. I just read about it now and I will call in the morning to get more information on it, but I was just wondering if anyone already researched that. Any input would help. Thanks in advance!!!
