i just got my acceptance letter to pharmacy school and am so excited. i am trying to find out how to become an intern in michigan, the state where i live. i called the board of pharmacy and they told me i must wait till pharmacy school starts before i can become an intern in michigan. i work in retail pharmacy and was hoping to become an intern sooner. any advice or do i have to wait ?

OK, so to make sure we're on the right page here, your state's BOARD OF PHARMACY told you that you had to wait until you actually started pharmacy school before you could become an intern, and you're asking us if you have to wait?

What do you want us to do, call the BoP and tell them SDN demands you be granted an exception to SoP?

no, whai mean to say is this. i know more than a few people who got their intern license before starting day 1 of school in michigan. when i called the board, they staed that they were not sure how that was as the rules have been in place for awhile. is there anyone who has experience with michigan intern license and this type of situation

Dude give it up. If the LAW states you must begin your first year, then you must begin your first year. In fact you may want to look on the website and see what the requirements are to apply. In Ohio, you must have a VERIFICATION OF ENROLLMENT OF CLASSES, which will only be done by a school official AFTER classes begin. Whoever has their license before that is lying or pulled something illegal in which case their license should be revoked.
