Community pharmacies closing at a rapid rate with deprived areas worst affected

Pharmacists say on they're on a "sinking ship" because of funding cuts, staff shortages and increased demand and ask the government for an immediate cash injection.

I think the USA is heading this direction too. Test and treat to alleviate primary care and partnering pharmacist and registered nurses with primary care to free up the provider for billing opportunities and still scoring high on patient satisfaction and outcomes.

Walmart, Walgreens & CVS roll out new care options as pharmacists' scope of practice grows

More duties. No extra staff. No extra time to do said extra duties. And most of all, no increase in pharmacist compensation. They win. We lose. As usual....

That’s basically most peon jobs nowadays. The middle class is taking a beating. Increased responsibilities with decreased or stagnant wages and help from the company.
