Is getting a pharmacy technician's license a prerequisite to future pharmacy positions or not? I mean, it is one way to get your feet wet, but then again, what if you do not have it yet and you want to at the same time volunteer or perhaps work in a pharmacy setting, be it at a hospital, retail, anything?

Connections .. are a major key. Especially if you want to pursue pharmacy, you will need great connections to find a job in this saturated market

If you can't even find a basic cashiering job, don't know what to tell you man.. have you tried your local CVS or target? they have a high turn over rate :vamp:

but I saw in your previous post you got screamed at on the first day, maybe just bad luck, maybe not.

Connections are a huge things like above poster said
....at a hospital you definitely need a license. At CVS, you could go as a trainee but nowadays most CVS's also want licensed techs.
Also, you may want to go to your schools career center and check out your resumme. Most students don't know how to put out a good resumme ( I was like that) and may play a role in you not getting interviews...or you are just looking for jobs that require previous experience which you may not have.

edit: i also got yelled at the first day of my first job, people don't like change and you may intimidate them...it may be more of them then you. You need to develop a thick skin especially if you go into pharmacy and end up working in retail
