Curious to see the staffing metrics from various places and compare them to my job, so I'd like to discuss things like census, productive hours, hours per patient day, etc.

I'll start:
-HPPD for productive calculations: 0.6
-Avg census: 30-40

No wonder management is so stupid when it comes to staffing. They come up with ******* equations like this to figure out how to staff a hospital. How about just staffing it to the point that everyone is comfortably working at at a relaxed pace and the work is getting done on time?

This is how it used to be done. Then the concept of, “more money” and disposable expenses came along.
