Pharmacy Residency financial help

Im not sure if anyone has looked into this, but of all the student loan lenders only Discover student loans (https://www.discoverstudentloans.com) offers residency relocation and/or interview loans. All the other companies(Salle Mae, Wells Fargo) told be that they dont consider a Pharmacy Residency as a "real program", and do not offer loans to us (but they do offer residency loans to vets, physical therapists, and optometrists for their residences).

The people at Discover were really nice and the loans programs are excellent as well.

Why do you need a residency loan? You can just defer your pre-existing loans during residency.

I just did a quick google search about residency loans. It looks like a loan that you get to help cover expenses for applying to a residency, interviewing, and also having to relocate for that residency, which makes sense on both parts if you can't afford the whole process and moving. Both are pretty expensive.
