Pharmacy run clinic managed 70 pts with dm over past year. Thirteen pts achieved their a1c goals. The average a1c lowering of all pts was 1.6. How significant are these numbers?

Hard to say without a comparator. If you can find the percent reduction that physician clinics lower, and the pharmacist-run clinic a1c lowering or goal achievement is similar, you could argue that pharmacists can do it as well as physicians but at a lower cost.

Even better find the average a1c reduction with an NP run clinic.

Even betterererer....track rate of hospitalization vs. not on service. ACO win!

This was my capstone project. The study wasn't actually done, the project was just to plan out a study.
