Pharmacy Tech in AZ

I've been looking for a pharmacist tech position for awhile now with now luck. I have no experience whatsoever but I'm taking my pre-req for pharm school in college. The main reason I want a pharm tech position is for the experience, and to mainly see if this is the career I want to follow. I've read around the board that I should introduce myself to the pharmacist manager and ask if they have any job openings. How should I go about this? Basically I need as much advice as possible. Should I apply online on Walgreen and CVS first then introduce myself to the manager?
