Hey I'm looking for some serious advice...

I attended community college for a year before transferring over to a University. I was only at the university for a year before getting kicked out due to poor academics. I was battling depression and a lot of inner demons at the time and allowed my grades to slip. This was about two years ago.

I have spent the past year trying to get my life back together again and do some good for a change. I ended up going back to school and started looking into possibly pursuing pharmacy as a future career? I know all odds are against me, but I am just curious what my chances are (if any)? I understand I will have to work hard to prove that I changed.

Also, for the Pharmcas application, it states that we are required to list ALL university/schools we attended. If I decide to apply in a couple years, would schools or Pharmcas know if we omit a school from our applications? I don't want the university that I was expelled from to come back to haunt me; I already regret it enough as is.

Think of the consequences if you do leave it out. Say you did get into the pharmacy school of choice then somehow they found out you omitted a transcript, let alone the unsatisfactory academia from that transcript. Those are immediate grounds for dismissal from the program no matter how far you've progressed into pharmacy school. Don't do it. Be truthful on the app, prove your worth by improving on GPA and really sell yourself on the personal essay. Have your schools writing department assist you in your personal essay. Good luck. You can do it.

according to pharmcas..

"It is required that you list and submit transcripts for every single college and university you have ever attended that is regionally accredited. If you do not list every college and university, you will jeopardize your chances for enrollment. If PharmCAS detects that you did not report a college attended on your application that is regionally accredited, the staff will notify you of the omission and will place your application on hold until the missing transcript is received. Your designated pharmacy schools may not consider your application for admission if your transcripts are sent late to PharmCAS. If a pharmacy school later discovers that you did not list and submit transcripts for every college you attended, the school may deny you admission or revoke your acceptance to the pharmacy program. Under these circumstances, pharmacy schools may reserve the right to withdraw an acceptance offer even after a student begins classes."

It is up to you what you do, but be honest. they provide a lot of opportunities to explain your bad history and stuffs.
try to improve your application, upward trend of GPA, high PCAT, a lot of volunteering and experiences. then you will be fine

So you are asking if you have a chance to make it by cheating on the application ? Go ahead and think that question through.

Agreed w/ all things others are saying above.

Why people think they should ask/post these types on a public forum like this is beyond me. This is only common sense !! 🙂

Thank you, everyone for the help and feedback. You guys are completely right, I need to be more responsible for my actions and face the consequences of my own stupid mistake. I will continue to work hard on improving myself. It's reassuring to know I still have a teeny tiny small chance, even my chance of acceptance is extremely slim.

Best of luck to everyone in their Pharmacy programs and to those that are applying this year!
