I applied as a transfer student to the UCONN Pharm.D program. All of my materials are submitted and I still haven't heard a response from them. I'm getting nervous since they started interviewing this month, according to the website. Has anyone else heard back yet?

might get better luck posting in the pharmacy class forum

Uconn doesn't even accept all of their prepharm people. Transferring in is nearly impossible.

What school are you pursuing your undergrad degree? Are you a PharmD student trying to transfer to the PharmD program or a pre-pharmacy student applying to the PharmD program? Just as a forewarning UConn tends to favor their students first and foremost and then they look at other applicants from other schools in CT. In addition the school tends to interview students later than other programs. I got my interview invite in mid-March and interviewed within the week I got an interview invitation. I think UConn usually conducts interviews like mid-late March/April and sends out interview invites in February/March. At least that was the case when I applied to the program

Good to know. So what I said in my previous post likely applies to you. If you're a quality student you'll likely be granted an interview and if you shine in the interview you'll get into the program. Good luck and don't fret.

Thank You! I really hope this all works out well!

I applied to UCONN two years ago, at the time I didn't realize that I would be considered a transfer student and honestly just applied for the hell of it.

Based on the old emails I'm looking at they received my application on 12/1. On 12/7 they emailed me telling me that I had to submit a supplemental transfer application through their undergrad admissions office. I already had interviews at other schools and decided not to follow through with the application. They sent me a rejection email at the end of February, lol.

So the important info is that it took 1 week to hear back from them from the date they received my application, and make sure you submit their stupid transfer application, lol.
