Do you study mostly from modules/hand-outs or textbooks?
You really don't know what a "textbook" is or are you being sarcastic?Textbooks = thick, full-of-text books that you use in school 😀
Wonderful! 😀No one reads the book except...
Wonderful! 😀
Well, everything is "free" after you've paid tuition 😀
So is everything online like assignments and stuff?
Do they give you like a 100+ Powerpoints slides?
Would you recommend bring a laptop to class?
How different is the learning compared to university courses?

Depends on the course. The only online work I have had to do is this semester. One is maintaining a wiki for my QI class and the other is to post on a message board for my Med Use in the US class. They are just a small component of the class and only a portion of the grade.
There are some classes where we don't get any powerpoints at all and you have to listen to what the prof is saying. Going to class is essential because that is where the learning happens. There is no textbook for it. For pharmacology and med chem, I use the text to supplement my learning from the powerpoint slides but most of the time I just go to class and listen to what the prof has to say. They don't put everything they say on the powerpoints. Case studies- forget it. A textbook isn't always going to help. It is better to bring your class notes, your notes on the relevant disease states and meds (what we are learning in class), and your brain, which will need to integrate the information from the classes in order to assess the patient and make changes to their therapy. You have to justify your reasons as well. If your group members don't come prepared, it will be very frustrating.
As for the laptop, some people use it because the profs can sometimes talk very fast. I just record my lectures and if there is something that I am still unclear on I listen to that portion of the lecture.
For me, it is quite different from undergrad in that there is a lot of information; you can't just go to class and only study the night before the test and expect to do well. Opinion varies on that, of course.
