Your GPA is doable, but you definitely need to retake the PCAT and aim for somewhere around 75 - 90 percentile range. There are some people on this board with 2.9 - 3.3 gpas who have gotten accepted, but they had higher PCATs.

Yeah, pcat needs some work. I have a 3.2 and have been accepted to my 1st choice, but my pcat was an 89. get that up and you'll be in the hunt.

It is doable,if you plan to go to NOVA ,you must retake the PCAt and listen to this APPLY VERY EARLY BECAUSE NOVA HAS A ROLLING ADMISSION!!!If you leave in Florida , their is the John Collins package which i hear is very helpful to study for your PCAT

OK LISTEN TO THIS! John Collins PCAT prep course is very IMPORTANT! If you live in South Florida, you NEED TO TAKE THIS CLASS!!!! John Collins is a professor at Broward Community College and gives this prep class to all prospective pharm students for approx $300-$500. I took the class, read over all his material, and barely studied anything else and scored above 90% on the pcat. This class is the IN pertaining to the PCAT. However, this is causing a problem, especially for South Florida schools. South Florida students are scoring obnoxiously higher on the PCAT then other students around the nation. This is becuase of Collins class. Nova and PBA have cought on to this trend, and they are aware that hight scoring students probably took the prop course. However, I took the course and still got accepted into Nova. But always remember, don't just study the material for the PCAT, but know the material for your future profession. This material will show up again, and it is important that we really have a sound knowlege of it.

They def know at Nova- they asked me what I did to score a 98 on the PCAT and I told them I took Collins class and they said they heard he does a good job. I was honest- and I got in.

Ok, to the OP, as everyone else has said, your GPA isn't too bad. It's really not! BUT a 50 on the PCAT is what's killing you. You REALLY need to bring that up. Don't worry about your gpa at all. Your friend at Nova was refering to your pcat only.

TO ANYONE WHO HAS TAKEN THIS CLASS:

What is it like? How many hours, his teaching method, materials that he gives you, etc...
