Hi all,
I have a B.A in English Philology with a specialty in Applied Linguistics and I have just started a M.A in Linguistics.

I am very much interested in Neurolinguistics and Language Disorders (Especially in language disorders in mental diseases.)

1) Would it be possible for me to be accepted in a PhD about those fields with my background? 😕
2) Any university or program working specially on those fields?

Any suggestions or information would be kindly appreciated.
Thanks

I'm not sure what the specific admissions requirements are for neurolinguistics programs, but the researchers that I've met in the field usually have a psychology background and have taken basic biology courses. I know CUNY, Pitt, UCLA, and NYU have great neurolinguistics labs, but they may be geared more towards neurolinguistics of developmental disorders rather than mental diseases.

Good luck.

You could look into someplace that does cognitive neuroscience research on language, using either functional imaging or lesion methods.
