PhD to Dentistry

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
As long as you have all the prerequisites done and do well on the dat, good.

Hi, what are my chances to get into Dentistry after my PhD?
DSs are more interested in motivation for dentistry (without caps) and less on the degrees obtained.

Probably. Most schools I've talked to have a 5-year limit. You may need to retake some.
It is hard to imagine any school requiring retaking of introductory science courses especially from a science based Ph.Ds.

In fact, the reality is they do. I am in that case, I took almost all the prerequisites in two accredited US universities prior to my application this cycle.

I you want to claim yourself as an example of how unreasonable dss are, you need to be more forthcoming with details of your case.

No, just clarify that I don't think the policy is unreasonable. In contrast, I support the policy personally. If your prerequisite coursework is old (such as 5yr+, 10 yr+), it is reasonable to refresh it for DDS/DMD application because knowledge changes quickly with the time. If a PhD applicant is going to apply, the undergraduate coursework is very easy to expire, because the science PhD program needs to take at least 5 ys to be wrapped up.
