I see a lot more job openings for PT aides than OT aides. Would it hurt or help me if I were to get a job as a PT aide? (i have already shadowed OTs in the school, hand therapy, and SNF settings)

Do you mean OT or PT assistant? You have to go to school for that and they pay pretty good relative to the amount of time/money you pay for the degree. An OT or PT aide is an unskilled assistant who cannot do any kind of patient care. They usually clean, do paraffin wax, hot packs, do filing, setup, ect. An aide will get paid anywhere from 8-10+ dollars an hour. I think as an OTA (Occupational Therapy Assistant) you will have no trouble finding a job, but PTA is probably the same. Good choices either way.
