Hi, I am a SPT in the midwest and in my second year of grad school. As it is coming together I need to choose my specialty course/clinical for my final year. I find this difficult having only had one clinical experience in an Acute care hospital. I have always thought I would go into ortho, but having been in the hospital I found neuro PT very interesting... Any advice/considerations for these two fields?

DPTGeek,
Here in Australia I had a great time doing my neuro placement. I find its much more autonomous than ortho (which is full of surgeon's protocols) where as neuro (atleast in the rehab side) the discharge date is often dependent upon what the PT says. You also get a greater say in case conference meetings.
