In my AMCAS and other secondaries I said that I have been shadowing a doc since 2002 till present for 4 hours a week. However, I don't do it every week for the past 2 years or so so will the ad coms assume that I am doing it every week? I usually swing by when he's got a cool surgery to do so it's not like I completely stopped doing it. It's pretty much my only clinical experience so I'm really worried about it.

It would be fair for them to assume you do it every week judging from that statement. Why didn't you choose to do any more clinical exposure when you had the chance?

I'm more research oriented. Plus everytime I went to the hospital to volunteer they had me answer ****ing phones. I wasn't allowed patient contact because I didn't have proper clearance or some bull. Plus I've made peace with my horrible application so I'm not expecting any acceptances. Hoping to get a couple of interviews though. I'm going to start with clinical experience now so I can be ready for next cycle.

Break it down and give them an ~total number of hours shadowing and then say that you volunteered for 4 hours ~1 time a week. If they ask, then go ahead and tell them that it wasn't every week.
