I'm interested in knowing about your opinions about the "stereotypical" doctor of different specialties since I'm not to aware of what stereotypes are out there. What is the stereotypical doctor lwho is a:

    Surgeon:

    Pediatrician:

    Family Physician:

    Internist:

    Cardiologist:

    Neurologist:

    Psychiatrist:

    Ob/Gyn:

    Feel free to add others.

Do some sort of a search for the "want to hide a dollar bill from a X" jokes and you will get a general sense of the stereotypes. :)

    To keep it simple:

    Ortho: Jock

    Surgeon: Jerk

    Medicine: Nerd

    Derm, Anesthesia, Rads, Ophtho: Lazy

    OB/GYN: B!tch

    Peds: Sensitive

    Family Practice: Moron

    Psych: Crazy

They, like all stereotypes, are all 100% true

    surgeon: does everything, knows nothing

    internist: knows everything, does nothing

pathologist: knows everything and does everything but by the time they get to the patient, it's too late anyway.

That (decision tree) is fantastic. Not 100% accurate, but surprisingly close.

Must be a male doctor in a crowded market. In my area, motivated females turn down patients or stay ot work very late.
