One of the other techs at the pharmacy is considering switching to PA school from pharmacy due to skepticism of the future pharmacist job market and relative confidence in the future market of the PA. We are wondering, would PA schools consider working at a pharmacy to be 'patient care' experience, as many of the schools require this?

90% of schools will not accept pharm tech as patient care experience, but certainly will as health care experience. A lot of schools are picky, a lot don't even consider phlebotomy as PCE, and I have no idea why. CASPA is the central application (similar to AMCAS for MD, etc...), that is where you would distinguish between PCE and HCE.
